X-Rays against the bacterium that causes tuberculosis

Highly infectious and as deadly as AIDS. TB causes a higher number of deaths every year, three million, and a third of the world's population is infected with the bacterium. Xavier Carpena, a post-doctorate student at the laboratory of the Barcelona Biomedical Institute's Structural Biology of Macromolecular Aggregates, explains how important it is to discover the structure and workings of proteins to prepare drugs that can work effectively against this disease.
