I havent tried slugs in my 88 yet. I bought plenty 3" winchesters at 6.99/5 but i dont want to shoot them since the CDC is warning of a zombie apocalypse.

so i want to get this to hunt with my friends i live in Texas i am 19 years old can i buy this or any hunting guns by my self or do i have to be certain age i have the money but i don't want to go to dicks and try to buy it and look stupid thanks

@GsxR750Speedemon The Maverick 88 *can* shoot slugs, but since it's a smooth bore, it won't be terribly accurate. There's no hard and fast rule that says you can't, but you won't have the performance that a barrel rifled for slugs would have

@x7chaosbullet bird shot is a helluva lot better because the pellets cover a larger more consistent area, and it'll take a great shot to shoot some clay with one or two big projectiles
