76 y/o grandma comes over to see her buddies, Liadan and Mulligan. She has Alzheimer's, but remembers the dog's names....always asks about them.

  • A lot when they're pups. Now, its just about 1 big bowl of dry a day.

  • dont look very loyal i think they would leave with grandma!

  • @juniorbrown35 Who wouldn't want to go home with Grandma. Actually, they are very loyal but they are also loving to people they feel comfortable with.

  • Ooohhh..The one on the right totally owns my soul when she rest her head on G-ma's chest at :10

  • @AfroVet - I picked her out of the litter when she came up to my wife who was sitting on the ground, jumped into her lap and immediately fell asleep there. She still likes to lay on top of me and doze off, but now weighs 145lbs. ;-)

  • awwwww they love her ..

  • My mum bred and showed Irish Wolfhounds when I was growing up. I don't think there is any other breed that I have the same feeling about :) As a child, ours were so patient and loving despite their size, and excellent guard dogs. Unfortunately they don't live very long, and it just became too difficult to keep saying goodbye.

  • @SaleekJay I think it's more to do with their size. Most PAT (pet assisted therapy) dogs I've met have been spaniels or labs. I totally agree though, we have quite a history with Wolfhounds, and each and every one has been a loyal and gentle giant. If someone isn't used to dogs they may be intimidated by the size of them.

  • Lol. Beautiful lap dogs there. Do you know if anyone has tried using IWHs as therapy dogs? They really are so very sweet and gentle. I approached a extended care facility about it. (I don't want a purebred dog without having something for them to do.) They said they'd never heard of it and where concerned the dogs would harm the patients because they are so big.

  • lol

  • 2 snuffeluffaguss's

  • @coyotekfm do you have any video of them while barking? i am confused how sounds it would be like

  • How can anyone contend that there is a cooler dog breed on earth? They are the ultimate and I will own many before it's all said and done.

  • @coyotekfm Lol my wolfhound would leave with anyone with food

  • i want ne of these so badly!but my mom keeps telling me this

"when you're a rockstar and you have your own mansion you can get an Irish wolfhound."
