what are you stilts made of? i've recently started stilts dancing, i've been walking on pegs for about a year now. i use the peg stilts that belong to my circus but they're so heavy, are there special kinds designed for dancing? I'm self taught, so i'm really hungry for tips, i liked the video, the editing and music really contributed, i've added it to my favorites:]
Hey, can you give some more info on the slipped disc thing? I work for Empress and we do high front-kicks all the time, with no back problems that I'm aware of. I'm wondering if you found any particular way of moving that led to it? I would imagine that lifting the leg via lifting at the hip, rather than remanining centred might be a problem, but I don't know. Any more info you could give would help us in training people up in such a way as to prevent injuries.

Your left foot stilt is balanced too far forward and your right is too far back, just my opinion, when your right foot kickbacks go vertical your body leans forward to compensate. Ideally if your stilt is centered you don't have to counterbalance your equipment with your body.
You are altogether fluid. Those front-kicks are textbook David Clarkson 'Stalker' disc slippers.
