Sometime on the night of Saturday 7th March, the LSE penguin was brutally removed from it's regular post outside Waterstones.
The perpetrators remain unknown, and the whereabouts of the Penguin is a mystery.
The penguin has, in its 7 years at LSE, become a campus landmark. It's disappearence has caused considerable distress to the majority of the LSE student population. Reputable sources indicate that the kidnappers were none other than students from Strand Polytechnic (i.e. 'Kings' College)
On Tuesday 10th March, LSE students gathered to hold a vigil for our penguin - it may not be dead, but we still mourn its loss.
General Secretary Aled Dilwyn Fisher led us with a eulogy ( in the form of a poem).
We brought penguin chocolate bars.
