  • Longest confirmed kill was with a McMillan Tac-50, Bolt action 50 caliber sniper rifle.

  • I learned from this video how a 90 year old round is just as effective as a brand new one. If you look at where the M107's first shot was compared to when the guy stood next to the target, the round would have hit him roughly in the leg. With a fifty cal his leg would be 20 feet behind him and he would bleed out. Still a one shot kill in my eyes.

  • Cheytac M-200 Intervention vs Barrett M99 .416 Barrett. Which one is better?

  • @flybrunofly14 but it coud be the conditions where harder for the .408ct

though i, and you probably to, like to compare all those interesting long range rounds, we will not know untill we realy have some serious testing of the .408ct vs the .416 barrett

ps: ever checked .375 ct ?

  • @DLemre energy longuer and doesnt loose as much energy along the flightpath as most, if not all .50bmg's

so at a sertain distance, this bullet will probably have more power then a .50bmg cartridge

though it still woud get owned by power if we compare it with explosive, armour-piercing .50bmg rounds(when the rounds hit the target of course)

  • @DLemre hard question

what i know is it is not officialy an anti-materiel round because the caliber is not .50 or higher

though with the energy this thing has, it still coud serve an anti-materiel purpose for sure

kenetic energy is highly likely to be first lower at the muzzle then that of most .50bmg cartridges(there are manny diferend .50bmg rounds with all diferend balistics)

but then this bullet is said to have a better range then a .50bmg

that means it probably keeps its...

  • @supermemo1999 range of this cartridge is said to be more then 2200m

not to mention, if this guy had do wait till he had no wind value and was shootign at exelent conditions and all....

    this shot still stays impresive

    i mean, one shot

sertainly owns qua range comared with .338lm

    sorry, but it is

  • @supermemo1999 .338 winmag ?

the record was done by a .338 lapua magnum

also, the conditions where exelent for those shots everyone says and the .338lm is still generally efective at the range of 1.5km while the .50bmg has a higher efective range

not to mention, this thing here is not chambered in anny millitary standard sniper rifle and its not even realy discovered compared with the .338lm

with that i mean handloading .416 barrett...its posible, but not that easy

    also general efective...

  • @BRMraider but then if we woud go even further, the .416 barrett will still hit while the .50bmg will not

also, the .50bmg's are generallly not the .50bmg's annymore of 90 years ago

  • Better pick the 338 win mag

The 50bmg has a record of 1.5 miles

The 338 win mag has a record of 1.54 miles

  • Is the .416 Barrett an Anti-Material round like the .50 cal so it can penetrate hard objects too? Has it the same power than the .50 cal, less or more?

  • @BRMraider I have to agree with Trisscarro. "Good enough" doesn't quite cut it. You have to be sure you can have dead-on accuracy, and I doubt that the .416 round, at a higher speed then the .50 (from that distance), would do much less damage.

  • @madwhop31 Now the longest confirmed kill was made by United Kingdom's Corporal of Horse (CoH) Craig Harrison, who in November of 2009 recorded a 2,475 m (2,707 yd) shot in the War in Afghanistan with an L115A1 rifle, Which is incredible considering the effective range for that rifle is 1,500 m (1,640 yd)

  • @BRMraider yes but who says it cant miss a target altogether?

if it diverted more left or right instead of down it would be a miss.

also this means that the enemy is warned beyond alertness due to the screaming victim.

so yes the difference is subtle but the result can be oh so different.

  • @rc8rsracer if i didnt know you i would say your an idiot and no one cares... actually i still think that.....

  • @ripgordie22 if i didnt know you i would think you were a nerd by the way you talk on a computer

  • @madwhop31 a lot of kills from LONG range is most times accidents, 20 years ago a guy shot a rifle in the mid air and 2km the bullet went in a driving car and hit the driver in the neck. Intevention is by far the best long shooter

  • @SniperAngle12 they discovered the problem but did they fix it? dont think so.......

at least not to the extent and quality of barret

  • @ddddess i believe its a two stage trigger......

  • Dear Santa!!!!!

  • With the .408 it took 3 shots to hit a target at the same distance. .416 Barrett FTW

  • I want one of these...and I suport gun controll!

  • just puting this in a railgun shell can hit a 2 foot group at 200 nautical miles

  • Railgun shell can hit a 2 foot group from 200 nautical miles away

  • Took Barrett a long time eh? Cheytac discoverd the bullet issue way before them.

  • cheytac m2000 intervention could compete but it is not as powerful

  • This Vs Cheytac?
