I built this snowmobile trail groomer a couple years back and though it wasn't terribly noisy inside the cab, I wanted to try to quieten it down a bit more. So, I removed all the body panels this fall and installed some Dynamat Extreme on all the inner surfaces of the outer panels as well as on the firewall and on some of the inner cab panels. I haven't got it back together yet as I'm still waiting for some Dynaliner to install in the nosecone. I'm getting quite anxious to get the machine reassembled to hear if the Dynamat tones things down in the cab.

  • I really like this machine!I am so amazed about the engeneering !I really hope that the noise reduktion works out well! Greatings from Finland!

  • Thanks, loopfly and hello from Canada. Glad you enjoyed the vid. It'll probably be another week until the rest of the sound deadening shows up in the mail. Once it does, I'll get it all put back together and try it out.

  • Awesome machine, very well made, and it looks like it will last a long time. I have my machines all ready for the snow here in Maine, even my 1969 Snowjet.

  • @dagwood64 Thanks for your comment. I still need to get a bunch of my old sleds ready for winter. I had hoped to have my 1970 Ski Whiz restored for this season, but just can't seem to find the time.

  • Yes very nice tour of the shop and machine. Thank you.

  • @Hiddenhideaway No problem.....glad you enjoyed it. When I unbolted all the bodywork, it occurred to me that there would never be a better time to get a vid made showing the inner workings of the machine.
