Honestly, I pretty much just felt like screaming.
They never listen to me.
Never.
Its kind of like Im not even there.
They seem to have a great time without me. Always laughing, enjoying themselves and they dont even pay a tiny bit of attention to me.
Like right now for instance.
Do they even notice my red, puffy, brown eyes.
Or maybe my tear stained cheeks?
What the hell do I have to do around here to get some attention?
Theyre all just laughing, and talking, as they sit around the couch.
Did they even notice me come in through the door? No one even called me to see where I was. No one answered the phone. Well, I hope they dont find out where I was. Because I dont think I could bring myself to re-tell what just happened tonight.
- Pen? Penny? Come on Penny, its not funny anymore. We all know youre the best hider in the history of man-hunters. Can you come out now? Please, im so tired! I want to go back to your house so we can make smores!- I complained.
- Haha, no! Find me, or else no smores!- I heard her laugh from somewhere in the darkness.
- Jesus, she is so annoying,- Ivy said. - I want smores to.- She complained.
- Penny! Come on we cant find you!- I complained.
My eye caught something slowly creep into the street.
- Aha! Penny! I see you! And I thought we said no street!- I said.
- Arg! Fine! You caught me! And since when do I follow the rules?!- She giggled again.
- Yeah, yeah. Youre such an bad-ass! Now can we go inside?-Ivy said, getting annoyed.
I strained my eyes, I could only hardly make out Pennys slim figure standing in the street in the darkness. Her street was pretty much abandoned. No cars even came down her block.
Except for tonight.
- Okay, you guys, we have to find the marshmallows, and the,- Penny started.
- Pens! Look out!- Ivy yelled.
I shot my head up to see headlight flashing around the corner. Penny, startled and surprised, looked up. The headlights made it easy to see Pennys face, her fear stricken face, look at the headlights, then look back at where Ivy and I stood on the sidewalk.
She took a desperate step to try to get on the sidewalk to safety, but it was too late.
The car slammed into her side, and threw her all the way down the block.
There was a sickening noise of a car screeching to a stop, then, just for a moment, there was silence. Then there was a noise of a car taking off and speeding down the rode. And what it left would change our lifes forever, death.
- Ela? When did you get home?- Kevin, my oldest brother, glanced at where I stood in my doorway, then looked back at everyone else in the living room. My two other older brothers, Joe and Nick, my younger brother, Frankie, my younger sister Jamie, my two parents, Denise and Paul. And our family dog, Elvis, was lying on the floor. When he saw me, he lazily got up and bundled his way over to me. - Ela? Are you home?- Jamie asked from where she sat in the living room, since I didnt respond to Kevin.
Jamie. Jamie is my little sister. She is 11, so I am two years older than her. She is blind. She has been since she was four years old.
- How did you know she was here, Jamie?- Joe asked.
- I told you. I heard Elvis get up, and I thought I heard the door open.- Jamie said.
- Oh. I see.- Joe said in a light tone and smiled at Jamie. No one else bothered to look back at me
- Hey Dad, Paranoid is number one on the radio.- Nick said and smiled proudly at his Dad.
- Really!? Sweet!- Joe said.
- Nice!- Kevin joined in.
- Good job, boys. I knew that song would be a number one hit.- My dad said.
- Boys, I am so proud of you.- Mom said.
- Me too, boys.- Frankie joined in, which made everyone laugh.
- Pennys dead.- I whispered. The words felt strange to say, since I havent even fully excepted it yet.
None noticed. No one even knew I said something. Like they would of cared even if they did hear me.
- Pennys dead.- I blurted, much louder than when I did say it before.
The laughter stopped right as the words left my mouth.
Every pair of eyes in the living room turned to look at me.
There where a few moments of silence until my Mom spoke up.
- Wh-What did you just say?- She stuttered. No one left their seat yet.
- Are you going to make me say it again?- I snapped at her. She didnt seem fazed at my nasty tone. She just starred at me.
It must be a shock. Penny has been pretty much a part of this family since we were one year old. We have always been friends with her family. She was like a sister to me. My family most of the time paid more attention to her then they did to me.
Ivy, on the other hand, we didnt meet since last year, when we moved to Dallas.
- Eleanor, what do you mean Pennys dead?- My dad asked from where he sat on his recliner.

That was wonderful. I would DIE if they ignored me like that. Or, I would just go up to all of them, slam a wine glass down, and tell them the truth. Haha. Anyways, can't wait for more! =)
