Pulling off a kick like this perfectly in actual combat is nearly impossible.

Landing on your feet is simple enough if you kick horizontally, he kicked vertically downwards. In addition he actually had to hit the opponent so he had tune it down significantly not to cause harm.

A full force kick like that landing in your face is gonna rearrange it, permanently. And no matter how good you are - if it makes solid contact you will not get a perfect landing.
