Hello folks, this is just a short clip that i took while playing FSX on my Mac Pro. I just wanted to show the world that gaming can be done on a Mac. Look for yourselves.
Fraps was locked at 30/fps - otherwise the game delivers between 25 and 110 fps in VC, depending on scenery, lights, traffic etc.
Mac Pro 5.1 Specs:
- Intel Xeon 2,8 Ghz
- 16 GB RAM 1066 Mhz
- ATI 5870 1GB GDDR5
- WD Caviar Blue 500 GB with Windows 7 64bit via Apple Bootcamp
ATI Catalyst Settings:
- AA 8x with Edge Enhancement (24x) (Quality Setting)
- AF 16x (Quality Setting)
- VSync On
- 1920 x 1200
FSX Settings:
- Everything Maxed Out - all sliders to the right including all shadows - lights -
reflections
FSX Tweaking:
- LOD Radius is set to 8.5
- Textures set to 2048
- Texture Load is set to 80

NZ Vector Land Class
Godzone Real NZ Scenery Marlborough Sounds

Special Hardware:
- TrackIR 4 Pro with TrackClip Pro
- Saitek X52

of course you can game on a mac. specially if your paying 2000$ for it...

@guipinsan You are absolutely right. But since i dont use this as a gaming rig in the first place it is nice to see that you can actually do some nice gaming on it. This way i dont need a second rig just to play my sim games. :)
