  • @dszp I understand that it's Apple's fault. They will, of course, have to change some things about their iPad if they want it to sell well in Business environments. But LogMeIn is selling this service for $2000 per month with no trial period for Individuals (I had to tell them I work for a company to get a trial). If all it does is get people's emails setup, then is it worth $2000/mo?? No, it's not.

  • @Nitinthewiz I left a comment detailing why you're unlikely to see more than this from the app. Not LogMeIn's fault, it's Apple (but note, Apple has no real malware concerns whereas Android, which does have the ability to do all this, also now has a malware problem since anything can run not just Apple-signed or Google-signed (ands vetted) code, so there's a tradeoff).

  • Apple does not allow apps to run in the background on the iPad or iPhone. Thus, without the device being jailbroken, which would be more difficult for most users than what they need help with in the first place, LogMeIn does not have the access to the device their app would need to allow you to do things like remote control or almost anything else that relates to something outside the app on the device. Profiles are an exception, Apple allows them for corporate support (email & wireless config).

  • Email and Calendar support? That's it? You're charging $2000 for this? That's not done!
