A song's key is where you start and end and a way to let others know where on the scale you are playing. On the harmonica, you usually play what's called cross harp where you mostly draw the notes so a C harp (ie. first position where the first note blown in C) you can play in 2nd (cross harp) position where you draw where the first note is G.

Mr. Gindick thank you for breaking down these tunes for us on here. can you break down the way you wail on "pick a bail of cotton " in your book? Also, I'm trying to find out what kind of holder you are using for your harmonica? The black piece is what I'm interested in.

Ever learned a musical instrument? People learn in different ways, and at different rates
of speed. I would say play harp daily.

Jake- you play your C harp in the key of G. Why don't you get this book/cd or Rock n' Blues Harmonica book and cd? I ship to Netherlands at least twice a week. And the honest, the reason I put free info on you tube is to drum up business!
