Menma is trying to go to heaven to be reencarnated as something new because she feels its right. After randomly being revealed again to Jintan as a ghost like figure he can still touch and feel, and no one else, Jentan starts to realize she could stay with him forever and never go and they could be happy like he always wanted before her death. As her time on earth gets shorter he thinks more of what life would be like if she stayed with him there. One day when he comes back from a walk he finds menma laying on the ground, he rushes to her and she begins to say her goodbyes to him. He grabs her and runs her to everyone else so they can say their goodbyes also but when he gets there, she disapears and he cant see her anymore, he runs to the spot she died and starts yelling his heart out for her and she slowly appears into his sights again, he gets happy till he realizes she is starting to disappear to heaven, he begs her to stay but he knows he cant help it. she says she loves him then it cuts to him staring up thinking of her days after and then to her flowers by her grave.
