It's the episode called "Vanishing Act" July 20,2008 (Season 7, Episode 17)

A "modern age" magician disappears from the coffin in which he had buried himself for thirty-one days...only to reappear in an older magician's "blade box", with seven swords stuck in his body. Goren and Eames initially suspect the old man of murder, but he is quickly cleared when the M.E. informs them that the victim starved to death.
