It is very sad what happened to the 9 yr old, but that was stupidity of the dad.

For the record: at a recent "kiddie day" at a Massachusetts gun club, a father watched as his 9 year old son shot himself in the head with a mini-Uzi . Cute, eh? The father is an ER doctor. Couldn't save his own son. The local police chief was fired. So, go ahead, give junior an automatic weapon & be prepared to see him kill either himself, a relative or a perfect stranger with it. Maybe all of the above. It's your call. Use it wisely.
