i have a question, now i have an e5200, 2gig ram 1066mhz and a geforce 9600gt, i want to buy a new processor, can you help me, wich one is better, a Core 2 duo E8400 or a core 2 quad q8300? the e8400 has a lot of technologies, but the q8300 has 4 cores but smaller cache PLS HELP!!!!

also virtualization? who gives a shit this is for playing games and general tasks this isnt a fucking server what the fuck do i or any of you need virtualization for? stop spending tons of money for fancy features you wont ever use.

lol you guys are morons. i ran a 2140@2.9ghz for 2 years with an x1950, then later a 4850, now im using a q8200 @2.8ghz and the same 4850 and i run all games maxed out on my 32inch lcd 1360x768. the 2140 had 512kcache per core and the q8200 has 1meg per core. i play my games just as fast as they run on your q9550 except i only paid $129 for my processor and you paid like $300+ lol.

what is this with bottlenecks? nvidia has much less bottleneck than ati, or so it seems in the future of cards. 2.33 ghz may be underpowering, but those will go a little faster. fast enough for that 295 im sure!
@Cr1ptlord Q8200 is a terrible CPU. You may downrate me all you want, but it lacks virtualization, and it has 4mb of cache. In comparison, my Q9550 has 12mb of cache. An old E6600 dual core has 4mb of cache.
It's a budget quad, and if you wanna game, you should go for a Q9550 if you want a quad, an E8400/8500 or 8600 dual.
I'm ready for the hate, but every word is true.
