It's the reason why grey squirrels are number one on the hit list when it comes to pest control with the air rifle - and Giles Barry brings you an informative, special documentary on why we need to protect the UK's indigenous red squirrel from the grey coloured tree-rats that are threatening its very existence

  • anticlimatic

  • Good work guys well done.

  • Thats the one thing i can't see myself buying, camo gear. If i'm spending a 100 quid on a jacket i want to be able to use it for things other than shooting, you look like a knob in camo in public.

  • Excellent vid guys. The best I've seen on the subject.

  • Looks fantastic however the three shooters were right moody gits

  • It must be working I've lived in cumbria all my life. I spend a lot of time outdoors and all I've ever seen is red's I hear there are more grays down south. We must be better shots up here lol

  • Is the grey squirrels native to the area and if not how did they come to the area? I have not heard about this happening here in the United States and we have both the reds and the grey squirrels living together in places like California and such.

  • consider me another backer of this amazing project too :-)

  • I have been out on shoots before with rabbits in mind, then have left the rabbits alone after spotting gray squirrels.

I don't think trapping them is the way to go though, and I'm not just saying this because I would prefer to shoot them, but there is a chance that a hungry red squirrel could be caught in one.

  • i work as a caretaker in a school the school located in a forest.

5 years ago it was 100% red squirrels about 4 years ago i noticed grey squirrels in a matter of 4 years they have pushed out all the red squirrels they have basically took over the place.
