The summit of Aconcagua is the highest point in the world outside of Asia. It ranks second behind Mt. Everest among the continental high points (aka Seven Summits). The objective hazards are high altitude (22,841'), deep cold (-20F), and high wind (100 MPH).

This was an Alpine Ascents trip up the False Polish route. We started as a party of 12 spending 18 nights on the mountain, 5 of them over 19,000 ft. Altitude hammered the group pretty hard and in the end 3 summited, my lucky self included.

A fundraiser was organized around the climb - basically a betting pool on whether I'd make it. We raised over $4000 for the Mauzy School for Special Education in Alamo, CA.

This is a pre-HD video and the res is low. But you'll get the idea. Enjoy!
