Haven't seen Dennis for 5-6 years. He doesn't seem to shlep down to Iowa much these days

@55KatDaddy were any of the shows you went to recent? if so then you wouldn't even need to go to a Tommy Shaw's band concert. Because Dennis' new guitarist sings Tommy's Styx songs, Blue Collar Man, Renegade, Fooling Yourself, I'm not sure if they do Crystal Ball or not, nor am I sure if they do any of JY's Styx songs.
-
@dtones520 That's because most of them were also alcoholics and/or drug users. Dennis has never touched any of those things.
-
I've seen 3 DDY shows: with the exception of Tommy's Styx hits I didn't miss the rest of the band at all

@DuaLeaD They are a touring band.... They could careless about making a album every year or two.. And Dennis always had something wrong with him... He's a Hypochondriac.... Sometimes enough is enough.... And not to mention when they went on without Tommy and got Glen what happened there.. There record label dropped them.... No one in that band is a saint... There all at fault in some form...
-
@sdbjr23 Yeah....and what have they released that was actually high quality since they kicked him from the band?? This is why they are a classic rock roadshow.....I think they should have more respect for the man that helped get them there, since they make money off his classic hits....I thought it was SICK how they (Tommy Shaw & James Young) didn't give a shit about him when he had health problems. A good band would be there for you instead of discarding you like a piece of trash!!
-
@Prijaa Well I am one of the people that could careless about Dennis... I have seen STYX 9 times and I have 3 more shows coming up and they are happier touring and doing what they love... Dennis held them back... He was great for the 1st 10 years but it has always been about him in the beginning...

Seriously, he sounds so good. Most great bands from back in the 70's singers sound horrible now.
