This short film was found in the house of a lady in New York who recently passed away. We are thinking that it is a project done by her grandson who might have attended New York University in the late 70s/early 80s. There was no label on the canister, so we don't know his name.
The film was shot in super-8 and seems to have been edited to accompany an interview that was recorded with the dancers. The original was already dark & grainy, and when we transferred it to digital the picture didn't get any better. The online compression seems to have smoothed out the grain a bit, but it's still hard to see what's going on at times. But, for those of you who appreciate the way it used to be--Enjoy.
We wonder what happened to the guys documented in the film?
very cool stuff!!!!

The only way you can tell if they are good or not is if you can hear the ORIGINAL music that they're dancing to, not overdubbed music. This way if they are REALLY funky, then they would be dancing TO THE MUSIC
