Photo train (solidarity charge paid) consisting of 93.1420 and 93.1421 steamers, two 2-axled passenger coaches and six older freight cars on the Mistelbach - Hohenau Landesbahn line, a remainder of a once proud network of local railways in northern Lower Austria. Operations like these could be observed until the 1970s.

  • Classic indeed! How fantastic to see 1420 and 1421 again after over 33 years. I never realised they had survived and to see them working again over the very tracks where I had seen them in those sad days of 1975. My cine film of that trip is listed under OBB so should be easy to find. Do any other 93's survive? You got a well deserved 5* for this.

  • Hi,

Here you can find a list of all preserved 93s, but these two are the only ones currently active:

    htt p://w ww.dampfl ok. at /c378.html

The site itself is a good source for all things concerning Austrian steamers.

    Greetings,

    Roni

  • sehr schön!

sind das bei 1:27 rekonstruierte Donnerbüchsen?

  • Hallo!

    Danke! :-)

In Österreich heisst das "Spanten", nicht "Donnerbüchsen" (schon alleine, weil es hier keine Büchsen gibt)! ;-) ;-)

  • Oh, that looks useful. Thanks for that. I've been wondering if there was a handy list of locos in Austria.

  • Świetnie nagrany film !!! Zupełnie jak u nas w WOLSZTYNIE :-) 5* się należy :-) POZDRAWIAMY

  • Thanks again Roni, I understood the reasoning behind the gaps in the site address. LOL. It was kind of you to source it for me. Regards Tony

  • this is a beauty!

  • Sieht nach österreichischen N28 aus.

  • At least they are now using the line to Ernstbrunn, seen on recent videos, as a tourist line on weekends. It's terminating close to Mistelbach, but starting in the vicinity to Vienna.
