Theres plenty of stuff that DC is doing wrong..you just happened to pick on some of the stuff that they're doing right lol.
I know the point your making, I just think that comics being complex is fine, hell I liked The Invisibles :P
The Krypton story could have been more concise but no way are Johns or Robinson as decompressed as Bendis stuff.

I'm a DC guy,I have been a fan of DC since I was 6 years old back in 1980, I like some of Marvel's stuff, but I have never really cared for Marvels characters like I do the ones in the DCU. Just my opinion.

I know, I wanna like DC, but man are they making it hard. I mean jeez even if Blue Beetle wasn't selling to their standards it's a book worth keeping around, simply to establish BB.
Seriously Marvel has got their shit together creatively (Price points that's another story..) Their Cosmic books are strong, the tried and true Thor, Cap, Ironman spectacular, 70s heroes Cage, Ironfist strong showings etc..

good point about finding out about a characters history on the web plus trades and most books end up in bargain bins its so easy to find out about characters and books

The X-men were great until around 1990 and then they launched the second X-men book thus diluting the product. And then launching more and more books till there was mutants everywhere and it got impossible to follow.
Marvel need to cancel most of the X-Books and just go back to Uncanny, one "young team" book and Wolverine and NO MORE.
and they risk the same thing happening with their latest cash cow The Avengers.
Is it just me or do all DC Characters seem to be the same.

Thanks for the shout out Elliot.
You brought up a good point that even I myslef looked over...... The GL books (supes maybe) are not that "NEW READER FREINDLY".
But the countless Xbooks that kids flock too havent been NRF in over 20 years. Literaly.
The majority of books that kids eat up are not NRF. However that doesnt excuse it either.
With the net it only takes a few minutes to find out whats going on in any title these days. Adults arent stupid & kids are a minority demographic.

Good point mason, although it took Joss Whedon to jettison decades of continuity to get me to read an X-Book again.
