Amorous Love and Sappho

THIS IS A COMPLETELY FAN MADE WORK~! I DO NOT AND COULD NEVER AFFORD TO LICENSE THIS ANIME NOR THE SONG.

I was looking for an old story and found this short AMV was made for my English Final Project two years ago. In this project we were supposed to synthesize an idea using three literary works over from one to all three of the time periods we covered Classics, Middle Ages and/or The Renaissance. The idea I synthesized was love in this example I discuss the idea of amorous love through the work of Sappho. I used Ouran High School Host Club specifically Benibara-sama because I really do see her as a perfect example of an anime version of Sappho...except she is a revered actress rather than author.



Q: Why the change in font like halfway through....and why does the speed change?
A: The white font is explaining why I chose Sappho for amorous love with me explaining the similarities between Sappho and Benibara-sama between lines. The blue font is one of her poems....it goes faster because that is how quickly I read the poem to my class.

Q: Are you a Haruhi/Benibara shipper?
A: No....but it was easy to do this for this specific idea/poem by Sappho
