Really cool video, but I still find it a bit confusing all the steps needed to take care of leather shoes. I have never really thought much about taking care of my shoes but after watching that Japanese video (which made it look so cool) I thought this is something I had better start doing. I just thought tho whether all these steps are needed. I thought it would just be a case of cleaning the dirt off the shoe & then applying some polish but now i've heard of conditioner etc. Bit confused :-(

@dooli1981 I would tend to keep it simple; clean with a damp cloth and brush with a horseshair shoe brush, condition the leather, and polish when needed. That's about it.

@phototristan: Yeah thats what I thought. Which product in your video would condition? How often would I need to condition? Would I have to always condition before polishing? What exactly does the conditioning do? Sorry for all the questions, I bet you can tell I am a complete novice! :-)

@dooli1981 It really depends on the kind and condition of the leather. So, it's a case by case basis.
