Seth opened up the front door... and there was this baby robin staring at him!
The robin seemed pretty out of it at first... then it became obvious that the little guy just wanted some water! (It's been *really* hot lately!)
Watch as Seth gives the little robin drink after drink...

  • baby birds dont drink!!!! did you ever saw parent bird bringing water to little ones? thay get water from food he might drown this way what you doing!!!!!

  • @laimis777 Well, "baby" really isn't the right word for this guy; it's more of a teenage robin that's already left the nest, and so definitely drinking water by now.

  • Cute :) Don't let its mother abandon it after seeing you feed it. Because if you touch it then the mother bird will abandon it.

  • @kd4adv

Thanks! :) Though, even though we called it a "baby", this robin was actually quite a bit older (more like a teenager) and was already in the process of leaving the nest. It could already fly and everything!

Plus, I actually heard that the "mother abandoning it" thing isn't actually true... I don't know forsure though! I'll have to contact an ornithologist. ;)

  • Try to feed it worms!

  • @LittleDende yeah... actually the whole "mom abandoning baby" thing seems to be a myth. from what ive read online, they say that birds recognize their young like humans do--through sight and sound.:) cute lil birdie tho

  • looks like watering more than feeding.

  • @1:09 the natural curvature of the beak just looks like a tiny grin :D

  • it was probably in the first stages of heat stroke

  • and this is pretty much the only way to give your pet baby robing water.......unless you have a little, very shallow stream with nonflowing water, gently push your birds head down until they get the message to drink from it......i had a robin who looked exactly like this one--her name was Frighful and we did so much together--bike rides, walks working on my fort---such a sad day when she flew away, i cried for weeks. Yes i admit that
