This video is the first of my video blog in my journey of controlling my focal dystonia.

I took a video of myself playing a month before I was diagnosed with Focal Task Specific Dystonia in my right hand in May 2011. At the time I thought it was my technique, but found it odd that up until this video my technical facility slowly diminished and I eventually lost control of my fine movements in my right hand. I did not even think of it as being focal dystonia and thought I should just practice

  • @iamJROD my middle finger curls into my hand which also causes the others. I have actually come to think the cause is because of my a finger, but have done alot of interesting things in trying to fix my problem. I hope the best for your recovery.

  • What are you experiencing? Your hand position looks good, I just notice that your fingers are not flowing freely. With me, when i play the thumb curls into my palm when i activate the i m ,and a fingers especially the m finger.
