In anemia, there is inadequate red blood cells to transport oxygen from the lungs to the tissues. Although there are many different types of anemia, the most common cause of anemia is due to excessive blood loss, leading to iron-deficiency anemia (IDA).

Wonderful information! I only just got diagnosed with Anaemia (iron deficient Anaemia) pretty bad Anaemia actually, and I was really wondering about it.
Just so everyone knows, another symptom I experienced was bad headaches that wouldn't go away, took me and my doctor quite some time to narrow it down to Anaemia (we did so via a blood test)
So yeah, if you're wondering if you have it, but have really odd symptoms like I did, deffo go for a blood test =)
