  • You can do short exposure astrophotography with the stock tracking system. For long exposure astrophotography you will need to add a field derotator or a guide scope.

  • I am also curious if and how well this altazm style setup or dob setup would be able to track with an object. Are they capable of tracking for photography? I know the folks at obscession can set me up with a nice bit of kit for the latter. Can you folks at webster do the same on an 18"?

  • @ZbLuffer It's funny you mention that, because I've heard nothing but WOW's from people about Obscessions very sharp optics. So I too was wondering about these Telescopes and how thier Optics would compare in quality to the OBSC's I am interested in purchasing an 18" OBSC, but after finding this video I am now Wishing more information on the Webster telescope line. I am quite serious and would like to be up and runing before fall if possible. Cheers, IC.

  • I'm just starting to consider putting aside 17,000+ bucks for the C28. Everything seems better than Obsession's. I wonder how much the shipping costs and customs duty to France would be.
