hey waynebrooke29988, we dont like the way you talk about our country. Why do you hate our country like that?Did we make wrong with you or just because Vietnam was won in the war?Anyway we are so proud of the victory and our country,it's the greatest in our eyes. maybe u think it's bad, poor, small or sth like that :D anyway, dont despise other country if u've juz heard summarily and havent known anything carefully about it....... there r some wondeful things in a normal thing.. .

you must be shown it to an international student(s) form Vietnam and they are all communists so that the reason they hated us because we fought and currently fight with them. we do not represent communists, however we do represent the ordinary Vietnamese. we are all Vietnamese, but we do have a different political point of views.....and the communists don't tolerate anything at all....hope you don't have to experience anything like that..

vietnamese american so different from the other countries

@786Ykhan From what I've read, a lot of Vietnamese Americans are refugees from South Vietnam after the Communist North won the Vietnam War. As a result, most Vietnamese Americans are staunchly anti-communist. They even find the current flag of Communist Vietnam offensive and will prefer the flag of the former South Vietnam to symbolize their ethnicity. So that might have a factor in it.

The Vietnamese have an extremely long way frombeing run over by cars and having racist rednecks throwing dynamite into their fishing boats to being able to have huge festivals that are an integral part of the community. Truly amazing!

@786Ykhan that weird but I don't care I'm Vietnamese too.

i showed this clip to my friend from vietnam, i thought he would be happy but he got really vexed ,
he described the majority of vietnemese americans as traitors or the children of traitors, he said they do not represent the vietnamese people, he told me they are considered traitors in his home town back home.
he didn't tell me why

The vietnamese american community is doing a finest job in keeping their traditions! I also think that other groups in the world will be eager to help as well, especially countries offering vietnamese youths an opportunity to go abroad, for example USA, England, Ireland and Scotland, Norway, etc.

Cool very informative. Great vid.

I think its important for every group to keep traditions. not in trying not to be an american (I'm of irish american decent) but keeping us from becoming a globalized "unit")
