Wednesday October 14 Meeting
Your MKE Agent Council Reps Dario R. Jimenez (CSR), and Dan Clemente (Ramp) attended this meeting. Here are the most important issues and topics that were brought up during the meeting.
1). Airtran recently entered into a marketing agreement with three different NFL sports team. All three of the following teams will have a special paint scheme into one of our aircrafts. The aircraft being used are the old-schemed 717's that needed the new paint job to save money.

Indianapolis Colts
Baltimore Ravens
2). The new TSA program named "Secured Flight" will take full swing Oct 31st, after this date all reservations name (including non-rev) will need to have the following information added to the PNR:
Gender
Date Of Birth
Middle Name
For all of you that are GSC's, there will be no more clearing passengers on the watch list, this will be done by a special department in Atlanta. They are only one call away at BATT: 3566
All information regarding this program is found in crewplace, there is a new assignment that all of our agents ust complete under the crewplace website.
3). Every station in the systen wanted to know if the "Day Dollars" program was going to re-appear after gas prices went down, and our company started making more revenue. The reasons because it has not re-appear is because IAM , and the union issues. No more info was given.
4). Airtran will have christmas holiday parties, in both Orlando and Atlanta, all Airtran employee's are welcome to come. All other stations in the system, well its just up to management in that particular station.
5). If anyone at the Gate has any Issues with F/A boarding problems, the head of Inflight standards would like to hear from you. They are there to help us resolve our issues with any inflight staff problems. I will post their email adress at every gate.
6). Milwaukee growth does not exactly mean more new cities, Bob Fornaro told us that Milwaukee will see an increase in capacity in the current cities that we already fly to. The trick is to make this routes profitable.
7). Per Jack Smith, SEA will be year around in MKE, ATL-MKE-SEA will stay all season long.
8). For all of our Ticket Counter Agents, the company knows about all of the Issues about our Kiosks. As a matter of fact, a completely new Kiosk is being made by IBM and will be rolled out in all of our stations by December/January.
9). Airtran recently has received a new shipment of Liquor Kits, and headsets, so If your area needs any of these please have your immidiate supervisor order some for you.
Also system wide, there is a new design for our liquor kits, they will now be on a soft-sided case which makes it more durable.
10). Some of you might have received free flu shots from our company. The latest news in our meeting is that Airtran will also be providing H1N1(swine flu) shots once they become available for all of our agents.
11). And last but not least, I will like to apologize to all of the crew members in MKE that wanted me to bring up issues at the Agent Council Meeting, the meeting actually has an agenda. So all of these questions, and concerns must be sent via Email to the company two weeks before the actual meeting, so any questions or concerns that you may have, please give them to me or Dan.
