From DirecTV's broadcast of Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America, Jamey Johnson performs "Can't Cash My Checks" at Miller Park in Milwaukee on October 2, 2010. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers.

For more information about Farm Aid, visit: http://farmaid.org/youtube

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help — what can you do?

  • it makes me happy that montgomery has hank williams and the next legend jamey johnson. he is a true artist, writes songs for other artist and himself. and sings about real life not fantasy worlds. if you listen to his pandora station they play outlaws. he is one of the ony real country singers and he was in the marines, plowboy. his songs got me through rough times because i can feel his lyrics and passion. not many people can tear your heart out when they sing

  • I have only known about Jamey Johnson a relatively short time, but I knew he was great the first time I heard him and my admiration for him only grows as I hear more. He is one of the best.

  • @99erable I'm in the same boat... Check out Whitey Morgan & The 78's. I think you will appreciate them.

  • This man can sing, he sings about real life situations and people understand this. Instead of every other country singer who is lost and trying to put rock in country so stupid! ! What is country going to! ! JAMEY JOHNSON IS the best out

  • @zetaiotapike2000 hahaha DAC!!!!!!!!!! Saw him with his oldest son playing guitar, pretty neat, you could tell DAC was proud of him. David said "to all you single ladies out there, my wifes back home in ohio" I thought that was funny as hell, he's so old now.

  • One day I WILL sing with Jamey Johnson. "Whos gonna ride us away, When the last cowboys gone"

  • I'm really glad that someone finley got it near the end of the song.

  • he reminds me of the David Allen Coe song, "the Ride". Can you make people cry when you play and sing, can you make em feel like you feel. I saw him in June and this song literally had me in tears, that's never happened before

  • his voice is mesmerizing

  • Finally,a real story teller..I can't have enough of his songs...

  • finally some intellegence and emotion in country music. im sick o this "look how country im is" crap spewing from country radio.

  • if you cant feel this song you're dead... best song in the last 10 years

  • Reminds me of DAC

  • im a songwriter ....too i was writing like this 20 years ago ,,,but man this cat can sing ...most great writers cant sing a lick ...i'e kim williams> Me > kristoferson

  • So awesome and honest and a great song

  • So awesome and honest

  • 1 dislike! they must suck ninja cock

  • Sounds like the story of my life!!

  • @99erable I have been fortunate to have a Mother who loved real country music, I have seen, many of the "Greats" in Concert. And I gotta tell you, pay attention to this guy he is something very special! It goes to show you how screwed up todays country radio is, they make room to play fricken T. Swift 20 times a day, but they hardly play any JJ on the radio! Wake up country radio, U R alienating your core fans... Please I'm begging less Rascal Flatts & Justin Bieber and more real music!

  • I was there Jamie Johnson was awesome, so was Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real It was an awesome show !!!!

  • This is an instant legendary classic!

  • Somebody wake Waylon and Johnny up, and tell Merle, Randy and George make some room.

  • great song....
