on my 9th day on my new job.. it costed me $25.76 to fly to JFK to see Concord in person.. it was amazing!!! i had the chance to fly on it $800 one way to London, but i chicken out!! the biggest regret of my life

Yet another masterpiece of aviation killed off by accountants. And quite why BA had any say in stopping Virgin taking every BA and Air France Concorde I will never know. They only paid a bloody tenner for each one the flew for 25 years!

Typical New Labour. They hated Branson so they allowed Concorde to be killed off when it could have been saved. Bastards. Especially stupid as it was 'old' Labour that put up the money to build it in the first place. I am no Labourite but 'Way to go Benn'

It was "not cost effective" in its last days - it was responsible for 25% of British Airways profits for many years. But after 9/11 and and market crashes its users fell.....but lets not let the truth get in the way?

Uh, no. You made that comparison, wow. And Concorde - SR71 does not equal Europe - America. Lose the hurt puppy attitude. And I think you need a history lesson, Concorde was retired because it was not cost effective. I've made my point.

"Cost effective"? Concorde did make money - and was responsible for 25% of British Airways profits at its peak. The comparison of Concorde to the SR-71 was made by you? ...and its all there for everyone to see. Good luck with your view of the facts tho.
