number one his last name is Hinson not Henson. And any one with two ears can tell that that is not an electric guitar. The only possible way to get such a piece is with an instrument is to have a 3 stringed instrument tuned D A D. the low d and high d are one octave apart. The only other possible instrument is a cigar box guitar. that is all :)

check his its on a cigar box guitar. hairmonster1 the tone of the cigar box is actually closer to what it is on the show. And put two and two together dude, its a dumb redneck, hick ass show. the music is played on hick ass instruments that NO, one has heard of. I live in the heart of the appalachian mountains. i know the music and instruments. thank you lol

You definitely have the cords correct and you definitely have the instrument wrong. I'm no musician you know far more about this than I do. I find it hard to believe you think that sounds identical to what's played through the credits.

@BanjoDude45 I thought id let you know that i read your reply to woodyspalding yesterday (kinda late i know lol) and i have never heard of a cigar box guitar, so i did as much research you can really do on the instrument.. long story short, i have a new hobbie. making Cigar box guitars ha. its a nice relief from playing acoustic and electric 6 strings and basses. theyve even got that hick sound that i love... once again THANKS haha

@EverHurt David Lee Powell composes and plays all the Dobro, Steel Guitar, guitar and whatnot thruout the series other than regular guitar work like when Early sings "I got Burned" which is Unknown himself playing.

A strumstick, dulcimer, dulcijo, banjiemer, and any other instrument u may call it can be tuned in any key u really want, D, a, d, is my prefered tuning, because that is standard mountain dulcimer tuning

Finnaly someone watched the dvd extras.....it is technically a dulcijo....with a wooden top, not a banjo head....I've built several of these banjo like dulcimer/strumstick instruments...and to all those idiots that insist its an unplugged electric guitar, or a banjo, I live in the heart of bluegrass, celtic, appalachian music.....it is a strumstick, the actuall instrument has no name, it is a random spinoff of the strumstick someone made, that is in a circle shape......
