  • how long does it take to master piece? Ive been playing the piano for 3 years and this piece is so amazing and emotional..

  • @amirso007 -- it's actually a fairly hard piece -- it took me a year, on and off (more off) to get it to where I recorded it. If you like Bach then I would suggest beginning with the "2 Part Inventions", then the "3 Part Inventions" and then the "French Suites". These were used by Bach for teaching - and the 2 parters are probably right where you are at - plus they are beautiful and fun .. Alan

  • Good performance! Your long fingers make a sensation of easiness. But when we talk about Bach, we know it's only a sensation...Now, why don't you post the beautiful bourrees of this suite?

  • Ah yes. There is "easiness" and then there is Bach. Bach is one of the hardest (as is Mozart). When Bach was presented with one of the first pianos he remarked "Playing a Piano is easy. Just press the right keys at the right time and it plays itself !" (obviously, despite his portraits, he had a sense of humour).

I'll definitely plan on posting more of the suites. Thank you for your kind comments.

  • it really seems to be easy for you to play this one... you are barely moving your hands ;) it took me two years to master those peaces to play them like i do now. i have made recordings of the prelude and allemande, and i would be glad if someone could do some critics...

you can find the videos on my channel, or you can go directly to them by adding this to the url:

thanks a lot. i really appreciate it!

  • @alanlit101 LOL i think Bach might have said this since he was an organist. and he used his feet to play notes along.

  • That was nice to hear you !

    A very beautiful suite

  • @alanlit101 thanks man, looks like I have long way to go :]

  • why is all so "legato"? well the important thing is simmetry, if you do legato one time, you have to do it when there is the same musical phrase. you are coherent ;)

  • @CrazyForCooCooPuffs ist das bach?...nein.. mozart!

  • well, actually I was right, From the movie, the SS soldier was wrong.

  • Oh, yes, my mistake, The other way around, Sorry.
