Great Bay Temple without Zora Mask

That's right, the whole temple without the Zora Mask. It's really quite amazing how useful the Zora mask actually was. Ground and long jumping are both so much more effective with it. Without it, you're pretty much stuck hovering. Still, it uses only 43 explosives, so if we get a bomb pickup in the temple, it's still feasible for low % if the Zora mask becomes skippable.

On that note, if we ever find a way into that damn temple without the New Wave Bossa Nova, the Zora Mask is skippable. I'll upload how to get the Hookshot without the Zora mask...eventually.

EDIT: Gyorg can be defeated without Zora Mask. See video response for the method. This means that to skip the mask, we either need a way to get into the temple without NWBN or a way to trick the game into making Link into a Zora without the mask.

Oh, and yes, this was done on a emulator. The task manager is a dead giveaway, as is the start menu.

How did you get to the temple in the first place without the mask? You have to play the New wave bossa nova song as a zora to be able to ride the turtle.

Yes, you can kill gyorg without using the zoras mask all you need to do is use arrows

Have you actually tried this? You'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

You'd have to be amazing to be able to pull off these cheats/glitches. I'm pretty sure he knows how to complete this temple.

@petrie911 Although it's a long cutscene, It's the easiest mask to get. I guess for speedrun purposes, you could get the Zoras mask and then not use it in the temple if it's faster.

@Dedboy i must disagree with you on the difficulty, i beat majoras mask fairly easily when i was around 12, but i guess oot was harder for me cause i was only 7 haha but I much prefer OOT, even though ganon wasnt a very hard final boss, i thought the bongo bongo drums was the hardest boss( the shadow temple)
