I made this video not only b/c it is one of my all time favorite songs to perform, but also to enter in STAGENUT.COM'S BROADWAY STAR CONTEST!

Update: I am pretty sure I placed 2nd in the first round! Thank you so much to all of you that went on there to vote for me. Your support was overwhelming and I can't tell you how much it means to me that you cared enough to do. I really and truly appreciate it! OK ok, this is cheesy-especially since it is filmed in my living room and not on a stage, haha, but bear with me. Imagine if you will a black stage with only me, the piano and a bright white spotlight. ^^ It's not perfect and PLEASE turn down the volume on the last verse-if you listen that long, ha-I get pretty loud and it feeds back-I'm sorry! Blame that broadway belt, lol. I reeeeally should have stepped back from the camera for that part but I was in another mindset..please forgive me? And the talking interlude....lol. Had to do it. It's part of the song. Yay for cheese acting! lol.

I looove Renee Zellweger in this role and she is the reason I am in love with these songs-and pretty much the musical in general. She also inspired the look!

One question: WHY aren't you on Broadway yet? (I can't see you getting the lead right away, but you're more than qualified to be in the chorus, and if you keep practicing I just KNOW you'd get to play a starring role within a remarkably short time!)

@NovemberCanSmile I personally love the cutsey side. To me, it's totally Roxie...after all, Roxie IS the most adorable murderer evar! What makes the role terrifying is the look of innocence, the sweet naïveté, the adorable wide eyes & cute lil blond bob...and she really IS all that. But she's a killer at the same time, and she can be cold & utterly vicious.
