OMG iove it but the coughing in 3rd movement drove me insane

we pronounce cicadas as "si-cah-dahs" not "si-cay-dahs" ... and LOL it's "cur-rah-wong" not "coor-ah-wong" americans say stuff weird :P
-
'Currawongs' is also pronounced oddly - The 'u' for this word and for 'kookaburras' should be an ipa 'a' sound. Gotta love the inconsistencies of Australian English!

Gotta love their pronunciation of "kookaburras" and "cicadas" :P

we need people to come to Australia especially people with trade skills.. its been said that we need another 140,000 workers in Western Australia alone in the next few years and the money is good

What happened to the ad-lib bird calls at the ens of the second movement??
I personally feel that that makes the piece

I don't remember. I do know that we performed the pieces in a different order - we ended with Birds. Don't ask me why - I think our director read something about that being a different performance option... Anyways, maybe he felt that the bird calls were not necessary since there was no segue. For this video, I put the movements back in order because our performance order always bothered me! :)

I went to Ole Miss, which is the University of Mississippi in the U.S. Now I live in New York. How are things in Australia? Never been there, but have always wanted to go!
