Hey man!
He uses a DAW called Nuendo to open the audio files and chop them up.
But he said that if he needs to map the samples on a keyboard he uses a Sampler called "Halion".
You can do all these things just using any DAW and Reason (using NN-XT or others), FL Studio (using its sampler).
Or even DAWs that have bulit in samplers like Ableton Live (which I love to use)
