This is a story in pictures of the war in Iraq and the effect it has on ORDINARY people both at home and in the war-zones.

Near the end of his tour of duty, the U.S. invasion of Iraq began. Sheehan re-enlisted, knowing that his unit would be sent to Iraq. Sheehan's division, the First Cavalry Division, was sent to Iraq. On March 19, 2004, Sheehan's unit, C Battery, 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment arrived at FOB War Eagle in Sadr City. Just a few weeks later, on April 4, 2004, Sheehan was killed in action after volunteering as part of a Quick Reaction Force to rescue American troops. He became the 1,862th soldier killed in Iraq. His mother Cindy has since been an activist for peace. This is my way of helping out a little.

Since Casey was killed, another 1750 soldiers have lost their lives.
The song is Lay Down by Melanie Safka, its what i used to help me select the pictures that i used

Please, if you support my efforts to help people realise that this war is destroying families and tearing communities apart worldwide, put this vid on your favorites, spread the PEACE

  • Really you are oblivious to the threat that the extremist muslims present "Convert, Enslave, or Eliminate". Just wait till an IED goes off on your SUV on the Highway....or wait for the dirty bomb its coming...

A proud and patriotic three time OIF vet who continues to serve while you suck up and become a couch potato politician.

    Heady

  • Dont be stupid, as long as the US is paranoid there will be terrorism... And id rather be a couch potato than a killer of innocent people :p

  • I bet you also were smoking weed calling vietnam veterans baby killers back in the 1970's too. Get a life and watch the news.

  • Hardly, because I was born in 1983, and do have a life you jerk. A life without War and threats of War, happy life in other words. You get back to your life, your life of memories and regret, like all other vets

  • Toddler thank a vet for your freedom of speech. That is all!!!!!

SFC David Brackett 101st ABN DIVSION Rakassan!!!!!!!!

  • You seem to love an argument sir.. I will not be the one to satisfy your needs, my video is what you make of it, for me it means peace and understanding amongst nations, surely a Nation such as the US is civilized enough to know the importance of that./

  • The issue here is that no matter how well-trained, disciplined, led, and motivated (even suicidal), war is still fought by people.

And those who aren't harmed bodily can be harmed in other ways.

W's favorite artist was Tom Lea. In WW2, he was with official artists who recorded their thoughts and without fear of censorship.

Lea's late war art is horrific. Look up his paintings "The Price" and "The Marines Call it That 2000-Yard Stare." And these were USMC. The toughest fighters we had.

  • Singing songs might have stopped a war when the pen was mightier than the sword, but the pen aint got shit on Nuclear weapons! Forget these songs... USA is the only God i know.. They are gona end the world!

  • Your troops - killers of women and children. The right to support them. The more people who will die - the more democracy will be. The Iraqis will be free against their will.

  • I suppot our troops. We just should not be there. Peace. Please. xx

  • how do you these um "terrorists" are not iraqis fighting against U.S troops?

  • Well said. I had to sit 50 miles from Bagdad wondering why we didn't finish the job. Thanks to those who are finishing the job.

  • Yes stop the war! One problem, to stop this war safely means that are troops would have to stay there to the end so that are children are not faced with this unsolved problem we could not be asked to finish and walked away from. Just like the first gulf war was, it was a problem, a problem we walked away from and are paying for it in the most expensive way, BLOOD!!!! We must finish the war this time. Thats final!!!!!!!!!
