This is the first Czerny I remember hearing, such enjoyable listening that if this is light, then how much have I to look forward to?
But then I went from Mozart's 'serious' German opera to his Italianate, and those lighter sets have a brightness that the heavier works take more effort to attain.

I find Czerny's music very entertaining. I've read that he divided his music into 3 categories - teaching, more serious, and less serious or light. This is definitely in the 3rd. That passage with the ascending chromatic chords is too much!
