I like it. Very nice photos. I would like to go there myself and take some of my own.
Those three observation towers, they are closed right? You can't get inside and go up to one of the decks, right?

This is what Obama has done to our space program, and is doing to our country.

I was 10 years old and our little dance group performed there. Other than that, I recall visiting four or five times and will never, ever forget how marvelous it all was. The Unisphere and the fountains were a popular place to have your photo taken in front of, lol! So many great memories. It's a shame it's decaying though, thanks so much for posting this.

they still care for the unisphere but the other remains are falling apart

It is a shame there was a pretty good erffort in the late 90's up too 06 to make it into and Air and Space museum but it looks like it died a death from goverment and will slowly fade away.

I lived in Queens in Rockaway Beach and this sadly goes to show the shortsightedness of the City of New York. If the would have kept this sight up and improved on it they would have something great that would have brought people in from all over , but no they let it decay like everything else such a shame
Nice video. It is correct to say that the NY Pavillion needs a lot of make-over. There has been some concern over the structural soundness of that Pavillion. It would be nice if that could be restored.
WIth the METS getting a new ballpack, the timing might be right.

I was there several time sin 1964 and 1965. There was so much to see and do, it was a lot of fun for the whole family. I went back in 1990 to see the "ruins". The Unisphere still looked beautiful and the fountains were running. The NY State Pavillion was decaying but I got into the ground floor and I stood there on the terrazzo floor tile map (of the State of NY). The tiles were about 90% in place but were beginning to crumble. NY State should have restored this pavillion.
