i'll say this agian long range hunting takes skill, i've shot from 20yds to 450yds both were hard but u need to be smart at long ranges nice shot

@motox788 550 yards is a pretty long shot. And shooting deer at 1000 yards is very very rare. I think you should video that put it up because I find it really hard to believe.

did you have any mil dots on your scope? good shot btw, but i think it could be done without them at 550yards. again, though, good shot

@DiotisHimself441 Not my rifle, but I know there are no mil dots on the scope. He did however have a ballistics chart for the handloads he was shooting. He has since passed away, so gaining more info on it will be impossible. :(

srry but I dont completly agry that that was a log shot because me and my dad can shoot and hit a vital spot at 1000 yrds with a scoped .338 and 300 win mag also we can shoot 200 yards with a muzzle loader open sites! Not try n to spoil that shot but that is my opinion.

@motox788 Never said it was his longest. His longest is 1112 yards on a whitetail. Video of it didn't turn out though.

sorry to hear he passed away! When was this video shot? Very nice shot btw, shooting vitals at 550 yards is pretty damn hard.

That hunt took place on August 1st, 2007 in Somerset Pennsylvania.
