@Ursamare Don't worry! Your friends are idiots for laughing at you. This song (and the album it's from) was a precocious career high for both Sally and Mike Oldfield. A great song with lovely vocal harmonies (that old sibling thing, I suppose, but a surprise to those of us who'd never really thought of Mike as a singer), a sympathetic arrangement, worryingly good guitar playing for a 15-year-old and a resonant, atmospheric production. This was probably done on an analog 8-track - no computers!

@konked Thank you, thank you. I will do so. In fact, I'll do it now. You've actually struck quite a nerve with me because I have a fascination with Scandinavian/Nordic culture and its celebration of the other world and breaking through the illusion of everyday Life. Fascinating folk cultures in the North. Peace & Thanks, Ursamare

@Ursamare Please give a try to Pekka Streng - Sisältäni portin löysin. It is sung in Finnish but the music has a lot of same feel into it. It is about how a person finds a gate in his soul to other world where the perception is brighter. If you find the name difficult please copy and paste them :)

Thanks for sharing this beautful song.
In a strange way this tune connecting my thoughts to Michel Moorcocks novel " Erekosë". A story of eternal love and lost.
Bittersweet.
