Building a Green Doghouse

@7from7ashes7 Try a design with a roof that is flat, and slants a little. This will allow for rain run off. Most Police departments i believe use this design as it is most efficient way. Our dog house is like this and we have no problem with wasps or such. We also designed it so he could walk it and there is a divider in it where he can walk around to get out of the wind from the dog door opening. The roof also hangs over the door a good 2 feet. We have a porch he can lay on and be covered.

Interesting. I like the recycling part. Dog houses with pointed roofs aren't the best designs though. Mud dobbers or wasps can build nests up in them very easily.
