Mark Carlyle C6 Z06 9 04 @ 154 12 mph

We attended the 2009 Super Chevy Show at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH. Due to the rain on Saturday evening, the event was forced to come to a halt. Sunday morning came around, and powered by two strawberry Pop Tarts, Mark suited up and jumped in the Z06. First pass of the day on Sunday netted what you see in this video. He was going to try for an 8 second run, but moisture on the track surface made the officials iffy, and they were only doing 1/8 mile runs. Looks like it'll have to wait until next time.

I had way too many Pop Tarts and Eggo Waffles with extra syrup before shooting. That's why I couldn't hold the camera still. My bad. I'm Washed up.

You mentioned the Gt570 Kit makign 570 bhp which is totally false and i have proved it several times. you own a GTR? Really? Give me the VIN and I can find out really quick. Like I said, I couldn' tcare less about the GTR because 90K for 485 hp is not impressive to me. I owned, not read about, a 10 second car 10 years ago so this is nothing new to me.

Well That maybe the GT570 package but i never mentioned it. GT570 Racing Package is not covered under HKS warrenty so why even mention it.... When i clearly stated HKS570 package not the GT570 racing package....

@Marc99GT i dont care what a Z06 can do. I didn't say it cant. Because i know it can, i'm not dening it. I'm telling you what a GTR can do which you said it cant. As for price which you was incorrect on aswell. The GTR modified with stock turbos has 1000cc injectors, HKS fuel pumps, HKS intake, Down Pipe, Mid pip, HKS Exhaust system & is street legal, HKS570 racing package is street legal just in some places it just meets regulations standards.

@masonizere Almost hitting 8s is not eights. This ZO6 is in the bottom of the 8s which will take a GTR another 300-500 awhp to get down there at stock weight which is going to make that V6 last all of a few runs at most. So there are ZO6s running completely NA low 10s @ almost 140 mph. The GTRs running GT570 are technically not street legal because it is for OFFROAD use only kit. Sure people are going to go out and spend 61K on top of 90K in this economy. Let me know when you see one.

@Marc99GT No.. Your still incorrect and your the one being ignorant. Face the facts the Alpha 10 package is almost hitting 8 seconds. 9.1 seconds @ 163 MPH. Even the Alpha 9 package runs 9.9 seconds @ 143 MPH on Pump gas and costs £21,999 USD. The Alpha 10 package costs $59,000 USD. Theres also a GTR on 580AWHP & 585 LB FT Torque on Stock Turbos running 10.3 seconds so what the hell would the Alpha 10 package do. The Switzer R1K package 1005AWHP 1/4 Mile 9.3 @ 155 MPH costs $61K. LOL
