Testing out new 12 volt starter motor with a Riding Lawnmower wiring harness I plan to use on my Minibike.

The wiring harness was a good choice, considering it includes all fuses essential to prevent electrical damage to the wires, and finding the correct keyswitch and compadible solenoid was easy.

Features Include: Ammeter, Alternator, Magneto No/Off Switch, and
Headlights that run off the Battery or AC alternator and can be switched from the Ignition key

I used a Battery charger because I haven't figured out what type of battery I need.

  • Between our lighter flywheel and brushless starter and LiFePO4 batteries, we cut 10 lbs off our engine. Your starter motor looks a good bit lighter weight though.

  • @MrPizzaman09 Yeah, it's like 5 lbs. or more & they retail for $100 new.

  • Can't wait to see the finished bike sounds like it's going to be sick!

  • @TheShadowiing Yeah, I hope so myself.

I just found a box full of parts in the garage I needed for the engine, so I'm really happy right now.

I only need to order a few things from Dynocams now.

  • cool looking setup youve got there. for the battery you can use a motorcycle battery

  • @pivotboy63 Yeah, I want a battery that will fit in the back of the Doodle-Hog, above the exhaust. :)

  • @dc5000123 Our system cost about $300 for the battery, the ESC, the motor, and the gears. It's worth it if you are building a supermileage car.
