This song is so sad, but at the same time so beautiful and meaningful. I love the phrase "Can I call you my friend?" It sounds as if it has two meanings ("call my friend" as in a phone call or just "call the person a friend")....anyway, love it

This reminds me of many of Snowpatrol's songs. To me, they always play beautiful and emotional music whether upbeat or melancholy.

possibly one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful songs ever written?? Gary Lightbody is definitely one of the great songwriters of his generation and doesnt get half as much recognition in my opinion as he truly deserves. This really is chocolate for the ears! xxxx
