Azura Vs. the World: Subspace Emissary 2P Intense (Part 1)

NOTE: On July 11th I recieved a message from YouTube that I was displaying content that was copyrighted by a company called "IDG COMMUNICATIONS S.A." in this video. I'm not entirely sure who these guys are or what they mean, but we recorded the gameplay personally as well as the audio commentary. I'm completely in the dark, so if anyone could help me understand a little better, that'd be awesome.

ANOTHER NOTE: Looks like the problem was solved. Something about a misidentification of something or other. Oh well, nothing to worry about. Let's hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon...

Azura Vs. the World is one of the other new sessions on Channel Azura that I wanted to start during Season 2. These will have no direct scheduling and will be done as I feel like them, so expect to randomly see these guys floating around over time.

Subspace Emissary is the story mode of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, spanning over a huge story about a shady villain trying to destroy the video game world by blowing it up. Mario and an all-star cast of Nintendo characters must work together to defeat the Subspace Emissary in an action-platformer style that utilizes the Super Smash Bros. engine.

Like most modes in the game, Subspace Emissary has multiple difficulty levels, ranging from Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Intense. Not only that, but you also have the option to have a second player assist you over the course of the game, making it easier and harder all at once.

But I've strayed off topic a little bit, back to the video...

Azura Vs. the World is a video series where I take on challenges and requests sent in by viewers. Although this particular challenge was never actually sent to me, I decided to do it just as a preview of what they will be like as I continue along.

What is the challenge this time, you may be asking...

Complete the Subspace Emissary mode on Intense difficulty with a second player!

You may be thinking, "If there's two of them, doesn't that just make it easier for him?" Unfortunately, no. It makes it harder. A LOT harder. Both players share the same stock (lives), so if either player is doing badly, both of you will suffer for it. In addition, if you run out of stock and the first player dies, it's an automatic game over, no matter how well the second player is doing. This does not apply in vice-versa though, so as long as the first player is hanging on, you can continue along even if the second player is gone.

... and yes, just to make things funnier for the viewers, we're doing commentary this time around. Yes, both players are commentating, so you get to hear both of us as we suffer.

Actually, I never even introduced my co-player yet, even after all of that. Heh... sorry Jordan, I got a little long-winded there. Jaymonius, fellow B.S. Battler and roommate will be assisting me in my endeaver to complete this game on it's hardest difficulty. Together we hope to make some decent progress, we may even finish it if we try hard enough. How bad can it be, right? ... right?
