@PorkFrog You're right on–this guy was a batshit-insane guitarist, Hell on Strings. As in, make guys like Hendrix wanna quit playin' and take up knitting. The envy of a guitarist's guitarist. So sad he's gone... All this and Gatton too. Damn shame.

I'm pretty sure he's simultaneously picking the muted bass notes while claw picking a melody along with those notes
so that means his pick hand is doing two entirely different tasks at once, while his fret hand has likewise spit in two, making him, for a brief time, 'four-handed'
