A compilation of Opening/Closing sequences over the years. This was what I put together on my way to my original thought (which was #2 version). What to you think? Which one is better?

The second clip is My Fave. I'm happy to see clips of Solid Gold on YouTube. I grew up watching it on WBZ (then NBC affiliate) Ch. 4 in Boston.

I don't really like the version where they introduce the dancers and have them all dancing in the beginning. It looks a little cheesy. I think part of the allure of SG was that these dancers were mysterious - you didn't know who they were necessarily. I'm not a big fan of the matching outfits either. They ARE phenomenally talented though, regardless of their outfits or opening credits, from the first season to the last season, the various dancers were the cream of the crop.

I prefer the version 1, because it features the Solid Gold Dancers and let's face it: They were the real stars of that show.

Me too!!! I my favorite season was the 1980 - 1982 season because all the original dancers were there & it was the only troupe that lasted the longest.
